The Asia-Pacific Congress of Medical Virology (APCMV) was held from November 19th to November 21st at Singapore. Many virologists, clinicians, and graduate students from the Asia-Pacific region attended the conference to give talks and/or poster presentations on their research. Accomplished researchers in the field of coronavirology such as Professor Kei Sato of Tokyo University attended this conference to share his previous and current work as the leader of the G2P-Japan research consortium. Professor Zhengli Shi of the Wuhan Institute of Virology also gave a talk on her previous and current work on coronaviruses. She could not attend the conference in person so a recording of her talk was provided to us instead. Throughout this trip, Michael tried popular Melayu cuisine in Singapore such as nasi lemak. The Indonesian variant of Nasi lemak also exists and he still thinks it is the superior version. However, the nasi lemak is also very delicious as well. (Michael)
