On November 12 (Tuesday), the Graduate School of Medical Sciences hosted the 6th Double Degree Program (DDP) Symposium, co-organized with four universities from Thailand: Mahidol University, Khon Kaen University, Chiang Mai University, and Prince of Songkla University. This symposium covered various topics, including cancer, infection, and immunity. Through this event, we gained valuable insights into diseases that are significant public health burdens in Southeast Asia, such as dengue and tuberculosis.

Dr. Ikeda presented “Interaction between APOBEC3 family proteins and HIV-1 in the myeloid cell line THP-1 ” as an invited speaker.

This symposium provided an excellent opportunity for research communication, fostering collaboration and exchange of ideas among researchers from different institutions. (Sharee)
