第71回日本ウイルス学会学術集会が11月４日から６日まで名古屋市ウインクあいちで行われ、今回初めて参加させて頂 きました。これまで知らなかった多くのウイルスについて学ぶ機会を得て、ウイルスの多様性に驚かされました。理解が難しい内容も多く、将来的にはこれらを十分に理解し、質疑応答や議論を通じて自分の研究に対しても専門的なフィードバックを得られるようになりたいと実感しました。また、 同年代の研究者や異なるウイルス研究に取り組む方々との交流も、研究や実験への意欲を高めるきっかけとなり、大変有意義で刺激的な出会いと学びが多い経験となりました。（麦田）
I participated for the first time in the 71st Annual Meeting of the Japanese Society for Virology held in Nagoya from November 4 to 6.
I learned about many viruses that I didn’t know so far and I was amazed at their diversity. It was difficult for me to understand all the sessions completely. However, I want to be able to fully understand them and to be able to get professional feedback through inquiries and discussions on my research in the future. In addition, interacting with researchers of the same age and people working on different virus research also gave me an opportunity to increase my motivation for research and experiments.
