10月の池田先生のアメリカ出張、最後の目的地はUT Health（University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio）です。先生のアメリカ滞在時の恩師、そして現在も研究協力者であるRuben Harris先生を訪問されました。UT Health San Antonioは南テキサスで最も大きな健康科学大学で、Harris先生の研究室のスペースは非常に広く、様々な設備が整えられていました。池田先生はその研究環境の素晴らしさに感嘆されたそうです。また、ここでも先生はご自身の研究について発表されました。特に学生さんたちからたくさんの質問をされ、それらの質の高さに驚かれたそうです。
Dr. Ikeda’s last stop on a business trip to the U.S. was UT Health (University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio). He visited Dr. Ruben Harris, who was his mentor during his post-doc in the U.S. and is a research collaborator now. UT Health San Antonio is the largest health science’s university in south Texas. The Harris lab has very large space and a lot of equipment. Dr. Ikeda was amazed by the great research environment. Dr. Ikeda gave a presentation here as well and was impressed by the quality of the questions from students.
