８月25日、熊本大学医学教育部が行っている柴三郎プログラムの一環で高校生を対象にしたラボツアーが行われ、池田研究室にも高校生が数名、見学に来てくださいました。博士課程の清水さんと修士課程の麦田さんが案内役となり、実験機器について説明するほか、実際に器具を使ってどのような研究が行われているかを体感してもらいました。参加された皆さんにとってはどれもほぼ初めての経験で、大変満足されたそうです。この経験をきっかけに、将来研究の道へと進む人が出てくれると嬉しいです。
On August 25, a lab tour for high school students was held as part of the Shibasaburo program conducted by the Department of Medical Education, Kumamoto University, and several high school students came to see our lab. Mr. Shimizu (doctoral student) and Ms. Mugita (master’s student) led a tour for them and explained several machines used for experiments. Actually, the students used the equipment to learn how our research has been conducted. All participants were excited and satisfied with their almost first experience. We hope this will encourage them to move forward on the path of research.
